We couldn’t be more excited to announce our partnership with Lava Mae, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that is innovating in HUGE ways. They retrofit retired public buses to create mobile restrooms that allow people who are homeless to use the bathroom and shower with dignity in a beautiful space.

Like us, they believe that meeting people’s basic needs shouldn’t be a luxury—it’s a human right. After seeing a lack of services and facilities in their city, they set out to make change in unprecedented ways.

And true to their mission of igniting change from within, they mobilized their community to help purchase and retrofit their first two mobile shower units by utilizing Indiegogo as a platform for raising awareness and funds to fulfill their vision. According to the Lava Mae team, "Feminine products are one of the hardest resources to come by for women living on the streets." It is our honor to provide those resources to the incredible women they serve.

We are already seeing the power of activating our networks to make a difference, and we are thrilled to be partnering with an organization that envisions impact and giving in the same ways we do.
